WeShop is NOT a cashback site, it never has been.
WeShop enables you to receive free shares in the WeShop company for making purchases, inviting friends & successfully recommending products.

What can I do with my available shares?

You have two options:

You can request a share certificate for your available shares. This is a record that you are the beneficiary of those shares in WeShop Holdings Limited. There will be a fee for this request and certificates can only be issued for available shares.
Alternatively, you can wait until the company goes public on a recognised stock exchange, and request for your shares to be transferred electronically to a stockbroker. Once transferred, you’ll have the opportunity to sell your shares, subject to demand in the market.

When will WeShop list on a public exchange?

WeShop is aiming to list the company on a public stock exchange during Q4 2024. We are working with our advisors and audit team to deliver a more accurate date on the listing.

What is Shareback?

Shareback is a reward offered exclusively to members of the WeShop community, whereby members will receive shares in WeShop for shopping online, inviting their friends who make a purchase or influencing a purchase by posting recommendations.

How can I earn Shareback?

You can earn Shareback in three simple ways using the WeShop app:
Making a purchase - Simply tap the 'Shop & earn' button on any retailer & make your purchase like normal at the retailer and you'll earn shares on your purchases.
Recommend a product - If you love a certain product and want to let others know about it, you can recommend it in a post or tag it in a comment & you'll earn shares if someone taps your recommendation and makes a purchase.
Refer your friends - Every time you invite your friends to WeShop & they make a purchase, you'll earn a referral reward in shares. It's like a thank you for helping grow the community.

It takes, on average, 72 hours for your purchases to appear in your dashboard. If you've made a purchase and it hasn't appeared yet, you can raise a claim via the mobile app.

My purchase is missing & isn't in my dashboard

Accepted Answer

If you've made a purchase at one of our supported retailers and it hasn't appeared in your dashboard yet, you can raise a Missing Purchase claim (if you made your purchase over 72 hours ago).

You can raise a claim for your purchase by tapping the 'raise claim' button your dashboard.

How quickly are claims resolved by the retailer?

The review period takes approximately 75 days to investigate & resolve your claim, this may take longer to process during busy seasonal periods. Read more about what happens after you've raised a claim

What happens to my transaction once it's in my dashboard?

When WeShop is informed by the retailer about a purchase it must then go through a pretty simple process to ensure it's genuine & valid. This isn't a reflection on you as a customer, it's standard protocol to allow for returned & cancelled purchases.

Available in XX months

The transaction has now been validated by the retailer, the simple checks they'll perform include, making sure you don't return or cancel the order, etc. These basic checks can take anywhere from a few days to a few months, but don't worry, the WeShop lock-in timer has started counting down from the time the purchase was made, not when it appeared in your dashboard.

Under retailer review

This is quite a rare occurrence, but this transaction status means it has surpassed the minimum 12-month lock-in and is now simply waiting for the retailer to perform their review (like we mentioned before, just checking you've not returned or cancelled the item). Usually if you've booked a holiday in advance, that's when you'll see this status appear. It's nothing to worry about and we'll keep an eye on it ourselves to make sure it doesn't drag on too long after your 12-month lock-in.

Declined

If you've returned the item, you'll see a red highlight across the transaction. This is an item that we've deducted from your dashboard, with a reason as to why it's been removed. If you notice a declined transaction that you don't recognise then get in touch with support by long-pressing on an individual transaction and hit

What are WeShop shares?

WeShop is aiming to be majority owned by the community that use it. This platform is a world first, we're proud to say we're pioneering the community ownership model.

WeShop shares are ordinary shares, there are no special classes of shares so each share will have exactly the same voting rights. Therefore, through the standard corporate mechanisms, WeShop members will be able to have an input into how the company is run.

Currently, your WeShop shares are visible in your dashboard. When WeShop is listed on the stock market, you will be able to sell those available shares as you wish, subject to market conditions.

What is the First Purchase Bonus?

WeShop wants to help our members understand what WeShop is quickly, so the easiest way to do that is to give you a boosted Shareback rate on the first purchase you make using WeShop. The rewards can change frequently, so check your Shopping page to see if you're eligible.

What happens if the bonus is assigned to the wrong purchase?

Transactions can appear in your dashboard at different times, it varies on the speed the retailer informs us of the transaction. If you've made multiple purchases within a short period of time, it's entirely possible the first transaction that appears in your account is wrongly assigned the First Purchase Bonus.

As an example, if you buy something at Nike at 11am and then buy something from ASOS at 2pm, you might find the ASOS purchase appears in your dashboard before the Nike transaction. When your first transaction does arrive in your dashboard, your First Purchase Bonus will be automatically re-assigned to the transaction with the earliest time of purchase.
