What data do you store?
WeShop has to store a minimum amount of information about you and your purchase in order to run the service. Your data is secure and protected, but you can read more about that in our Privacy Policy. This article looks at the specific data we have about you and how we use it.
This one is obvious, we use this to make WeShop feel more social, more personable between your fellow WeShoppers and to be able to address you properly when we send you stuff.
Again, another obvious one, but we use your email for a few things, including verification and communication.
Your birthday is important to you, and outside of the legal requirement to be over 18 to own shares in WeShop, it's important to us too and we will start to offer you rewards around your birthday.
We only use your gender to improve the type of content you get shown, just to make sure it's relevant.
We collect lots of information about your purchase, which differ by retailer but the primary things are "Total basket spend", "Retailer" and "Purchase date", subject to contrary belief, we don't actively try to find what you bought, all we know is you spent some money at a specific retailer.
